Rs9.265b approved for development schemes

LAHORE: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) approved five development schemes of various sectors with an estimated cost of Rs9.265 billion.

These schemes were approved in the 27th meeting of PDWP, of the fiscal year 2019-20, presided over by Planning & Development (P&D) Board Chairman Habibur Rehman Gilani.

P&D Provincial Secretary Imran Sikandar Baloch, all members of the P&D Board and other senior representatives of the provincial departments concerned also attended the meeting.

The approved development schemes include provision of Essential Electro-Medical Equipment in various departments and upgradation of OTs in Services Hospital, Lahore at a cost of Rs480.3 million, establishment of Mother and Child Block in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Lahore at a cost of Rs4.031 billion (Capital Component), remodeling of Hill Torrent Crossing RD: 185+500, RD: 242+300 & RD: 316+430 of DG Khan Canal at a cost of Rs1.1 billion and procurement of Automated Finger Print Identification System (AFIS) for Punjab Forensic Science Agency at a cost of Rs495 million.
