Two armed suspects held; weapons recovered  

The suspects, during the investigation, have confessed to committing several robberies on Islamabad Highway

ISLAMABAD: The Koral Police have arrested two armed suspects of a gang and recovered two bikes and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said.

The Islamabad Inspector General of Police (IGP) Aamir Zulfiqar Khan ordered a crackdown against criminals specially involved in theft and street crime. Following these orders, DIG (Operations) Waqaruddin has directed all zonal officers to accelerate their efforts to curb the crime in the city.

Following these directions, Rural SP Malik Naeem constituted special team under supervision of Koral ASP Zohaib Nasrullah Ranjha including Koral Police Station SHO Allam Ghair Khan and others. This team arrested two armed suspects identified as Umair Zaman Abbasi and Nadeem Mughal alias Kaka.

Police team also recovered two motor bikes weapons along with ammunition used in crime from their possession.

The suspects, during the preliminary investigation, confessed to committing several robberies on Islamabad Highway and surrounding areas of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
