Karachi violence: FPCCI calls for improved law and order

ISLAMABAD:

The Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) on Friday called for improving the law and order in Karachi and taking all stakeholders including the political parties into confidence to achieve this objective.

“The current situation in Karachi is a matter of concern for entire nation as the city is the economic hub for the country and its people,” FPCCI President Senator Haji Ghulam Ali said.

The poor law and order situation in Karachi during the last two-year has badly affected the economic activities in the city and corrective measures are needed to control this situation, he said.

He said that it is responsibility of the nation to play their vital role for bringing peace and harmony to the city in order to restore the confidence of the investors and business community for the socio-economic development of the country.

He also appealed to all the political parties to play their effective role to improve the security conditions in the city.
