No reduction in oil, ghee prices during Ramazan: PVMA
Punjab Govt says will speak to CCP on the issue as reduction in prices brings relief to masses.

Pakistan Vanaspati Manufacturers’ Assosiation (PVMA) has refused to reduce prices of cooking oil and ghee during Ramazan, Express News reported on Friday.
PVMA revealed that they were fined with Rs50 million by Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) when they reduced cooking oil and ghee prices.
Furthermore, a meeting will be held over the prices of cooking oil and ghee in Ramazan on Monday.
The Government of Punjab will speak to CCP in this regards because reduction in oil and ghee prices will give relief to the masses.
According to the Government of Punjab, CCP fined PVMA on the grounds of a misunderstanding.
Earlier on Wednesday, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif said that “Ramazan Bazaars” will be set up throughout the province in which reduced prices will be provided to people during the month of Ramazan.
