Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Media Affairs Yousaf Baig Mirza resigned from his position after citing personal reasons on Wednesday.
Mirza served in the position of special assistant for almost a year.
In December 2018, the prominent media personality was appointed the SAPM on Media Affairs.

Mirza, with vast experience in working for local and international media, provided leadership for various private and state-run media houses at the national level. He also played a key role in transforming Pakistan Television (PTV) in accordance with contemporary requirements.
Yousaf Baig Mirza also served all renowned private TV channels at top positions and holds a prominent place in the local media industry.
Prime Minister Imran Khan had appointed Mirza, considering his leadership qualities and vast experience in public and private media.
