Officials pray for eternal peace of the departed soul and for courage and strength of the Al Nahyan family.

President Dr Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday extended their deepest condolences to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) rulers over the sad demise of Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan — brother of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan — who passed away on Monday.

The Pakistani leaders sent separate condolence messages expressing their grief and sorrow over the death of Sheikh Sultan who was the second son of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan – the founder of UAE.

They also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and for courage and strength of the Al Nahyan family and the fraternal people of UAE to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.

With numerous portfolios, Sheikh Sultan was serving as the President’s Representative, and was chairman of the Emirates Heritage Club.

He was also a member of the Supreme Petroleum Council and a member of Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
