Petition filed against road blockade
Chief Justice Balochistan High Court will hear the case
QUETTA:
A constitutional petition has been filed in the Balochistan High Court against the blockade of national highways which will be heard by Chief Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail.
Sultan Kakar Advocate has filed a petition in the Balochistan High Court against Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) for blocking national highways in the province. The petitioner has taken a stance that as per the constitution of Pakistan the closure of various highways is an illegal process which is causing serious problems to the citizens, patients and transporters.
In the constitutional petition, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz, Awami National Party and others, including the provincial government, have been made party.
Chief Justice Balochistan High Court will hear the case. Various roads and highways in different parts of province have been blocked as per the Plan B of JUI-F’s Azadi March.
