Development: Punjab to get 3 new industrial estates

Punjab Industrial Estates (PIE) has decided to launch development projects worth Rs1.25 billion during the current fiscal year after getting approval from its board of directors. The three new industrial estates will be set up in Vehari, Rahim Yar Khan and Bhalwal while Multan industrial estate will also be upgraded to facilitate south Punjab as special funds have been allocated for this purpose. An international standard Pharma Laboratory for inspection of drugs and certification and construction of a commercial complex at Sundar Industrial Estate are also part of the newly approved development projects of Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Management Company (PIEDMC).
