Tameer Microfinance Bank CEO Nadeem Hussain was selected ‘Leader of the Year’

Tameer Microfinance Bank CEO Nadeem Hussain was selected ‘Leader of the Year’ by an international panel of leading microfinanciers at the Sixth Annual Global Microfinance Achievement Awards 2011, the bank stated in a press release on Thursday. Commenting on the award, Hussain said, “I am humbled by the recognition and thank the judges for this honour. The bank’s team has worked selflessly with the vision to be Pakistan’s first nationwide, private sector, commercially sustainable microfinance bank, and has made commendable progress.” The Global Microfinance Achievement Awards event, held in Geneva recently, was attended by finance institutions, microfinance institutions, NGOs, microfinance investment vehicles, and other major stakeholders.
