Shaukat Khanum: Zakat donations campaign begins

A hospital spokesperson said that over Rs9b had been spent on free treatment during the last 16 years.

Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre on Wednesday launched its Zakat Collection Campaign for 2011. A hospital spokesperson said that over Rs9b had been spent on free treatment during the last 16 years. He said that the hospital’s budget for 2011 is Rs3.7b. Donations can also be deposited at the hospital offices. The hospital has also made arrangements for donations to be collected from the donors at their doorstep.
