Energy Imports: Iran gas supply to start in 2014
Iran will start supply of 7,500 million cubic feet (MMCF) of gas to Pakistan from December 2014
ISLAMABAD:
Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources Additional Secretary Malik Naeem said that Iran will start supply of 7,500 million cubic feet (MMCF) of gas to Pakistan from December 2014 in a press conference convened by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) headed by MNA Yasmeen Rehman. “All formalities have been completed. The committee was also informed by Pakistan State Oil (PSO) officials that Pakistan is exporting 2,000 to 25,000 tons of oil to Afghanistan for NATO. Pakistan’s total requirement of oil is 20 million tons while the country is producing only 15 per cent of its total demand.
