Karate championship begins in Quetta

A large number of boys and girls belonging to different cities of Balochistan are participating in the two-day event

The 15th All Balochistan JKA Karate Championship 2019 began in Quetta under the banner of Japan Karate Association (JKA) Balochistan and in collaboration with Mishal Youth Society. The aim behind the championship is to develop sports at the grass root level.

The Karate Championship at the Tajai Sports Complex was inaugurated by Director Youth and Sports Balochistan Zafarullah Baloch accompanied by Chief Kyokushin Karate Pakistan Shayan Umer Khan,  Japan Karate Association Balochistan’s President Husain Ali Changezi, Secretary General Abdullah Changezi, renowned karate player Fida Dumar, President Mishal Youth Society Salim Shakir and Lahore based  ex- karate player Azam Khan.

President Mishal Youth Society Salim Shakir on behalf of his association gave the special commemorative shield to Director Youth and Sports Balochistan Zafarullah Baloch.


A large number of boys and girls belonging to different cities of Balochistan are  participating in the two-day event, while Abdullah Changezi, Khadim Husain, Fida Dumar, Jumma Mughal, Sadam Khan Tareen and others are performing  duties as technical officials.

In the inauguration ceremony, Director Youth &Sports Baluchistan Zafarullah Baloch said that Balochistan government is taking practical measures to promote sports in the province at the grass root level under the leadership of Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal, as sports is vital for the character-building and psychological training of the young  generation.
