GalleryOne62, ArtKaam Gallery open art space in Karachi
ArtOne62 hosted it's inaugural exhibition on Oct 29
GalleryOne62 of Australia and ArtKaam Gallery of Pakistan have opened an art space, ArtOne62 in Clifton, Karachi to bridge the gaps between global and local art communities and encourage artists to portray all forms of art.
ArtOne 62 hosted its inaugural art exhibition, Impact II on Tuesday.
Curated by Shehzar Abro and Andres Delgado, the exhibition features a range of artists from Pakistan, Australia, Colombia, USA, and Canada working with new media, traditional media and installations.
“I see myself inspired by things that may not seem impactful to the naked eye – the texture of a rock, a conversation with a stranger, or a nice (or crappy) meal,” Abro said.
Impact II is a sequential exhibition – with its predecessor taking place over three years ago at the Karachi Movenpick hotel featuring 17 young artists from the city.
