LDA to strengthen housing rules
Meeting reviews proposals to improve housing needs of citizens

In order to improve the living conditions of residents, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has decided to further strengthen Private Housing Schemes Rules, 2014.
The authority’s governing body, in its 11th session held on Tuesday, reviewed proposals related to private housing societies rules to improve the housing needs of citizens.
The meeting decided to promote LDA’s junior accountants, accounts assistants and senior accountants. It also approved awarding technical allowance to engineers working for the authority, as per a notification issued by the Punjab Finance Department.

Meanwhile, LDA generated an income of Rs10.29 million through auctioning parking plazas and commercial buildings. According to the spokesman, the authority has auctioned tenant rights for two parking plazas and auctioned two commercial plots. The tenant rights of Liberty Park and Ride Plaza, Gulberg, were auctioned for Rs2.44 million per annum while Park and Shop Plaza, Moon Market, Allama Iqbal Town were auctioned for Rs2.56 million. Similarly, the authority auctioned two commercial plots for Rs7.9 million in Mustafa Town.
The public auction was held at the LDA Community Centre, Muslim Town, under the supervision of LDA Auction Committee Member, Director Revenue Khawaja Muhammad Ali, Director Estate Management Ahmad Imtiaz Ali Khan and other senior officials.
LDA Vice Chairman Sheikh Imtiaz Mahmood chaired the meeting which was attended by LDA Director General Muhammad Usman Moazam, and other senior officials.
