Pharmacists end hunger strike

Provincial authorities say that 300 posts have been created for the pharmacists

QUETTA: The Balochistan Pharmacists Association ended their hunger strike unto death after the provincial government assured them to create job opportunities for them.

The provincial authorities said that 300 posts had been created for the pharmacists of which 260 had been approved by Chief Minister Jam Khan Kamal Alyani, while 50 had already been advertised.

The officials said that more posts would be created in the next fiscal year budget.

Governor approves Rs396m for pharmacy

Provincial Health Minister Mir Naseebulah Marri, Quetta Development Authority (QDA) Chairperson Bushra Rind, Chief Minister’s spokesman Liaquat Shawani and other officials visited the protesters camp in front of Quetta Press Club and pledged to provide employment to the pharmacists.
