Kidnapped woman recovered; tells police she left home by choice

A 19-year-old young woman reportedly kidnapped was recovered by the police, but refused to go home stating she left her home on her own free-will and did not wanted to go back.

The Loi Bher police station on Saturday recovered a 19-year old girl following application of her father about her kidnap, a police spokesperson said.

He said that Rafaqat Hussain resident of Rawalpindi lodged the report with Loi Bher police station that his daughter went to Civic Centre Bharia Town Phase-IV on October 6, 2019 to meet her friend but did not return. He named Malik Nomi for involving in kidnapping her daughter. Police lodged the case and started investigation into the matter.


Loi Bher police station SHO along with his team recovered the young woman, who told the police that she left her home after being dejected due to the attitude of her family members.

The young lady refused to go back home, due to which police had to start separate legal proceedings. Legally, the 19-year-old is an adult, free to make her decisions, however, the Pakistani culture will consider her a girl, since she was still unmarried and under her parents supervision.
