Another Pakistani film 'Mariam' wins big at Busan
After Sarmad Khoosat's Zindagi Tamasha, Hamza Bangash brings home another award
Hamza Bangash nailed the first prize at the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), that too with his debut film Mariam. While Sarmad Khoosat also won an award for his most awaited film, Zindagi Tamasha, but it turns out Pakistan had more where that came from.

Bangash shared the big news on his Instagram with the caption "I still can't believe this happened. My feature film debut project, Mariam, has picked up the First Prize, MPA-AFA award at BIFF.".
The director continued to add that he is grateful to the Asian Film Academy, Motion Picture Association and the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) for his achievement.
Earlier, he had also posted about how excited he was to be a part of this years Asian Film Academy with the Busan Festival . "The first time I applied for this was in 2017, and 2 years later it finally happened. Can't wait for two weeks of learning, hanging and experiencing Korea for the first time," he concluded.

Owing to his accomplishment, the filmmaker is also set to take his film to LA next.
