Chaudhry Shujaat to visit Nine Zero
It is expected that Shujaat may make an attempt to reconcile the MQM and the PPP.
KARACHI:
Chaudhry Shujaat, President of the Pakistan Muslim League (Q), will visit Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) headquarters Nine-Zero in Karachi on Tuesday night.
Sources said the veteran politician of the PML-Q will be meeting with the MQM's Coordination Committee on behalf of the ruling Pakistan People's Party (PPP). It is expected that Shujaat will be making an attempt to reconcile the MQM and the PPP to bring MQM back into the ruling coalition.
While speaking to the media, Shujaat however denied that he was carrying a message across from the PPP. He said his party has strong relations with Altaf Hussain.
“I’am going to Nine Zero to improve relations,” he said.
The meeting will take place at 9 pm after which a joint news briefing is expected at the MQM headquarters.
The MQM has already taken a position that it will not re-join the government at any cost.
Following the MQM’s sudden exit from the federal and provincial government, PPP leader Jahangir Badar claimed that the PPP will talk to the MQM and will not let go of it like that.
He said the PPP would continue its policy of reconciliation, and take on board all political parties on the issues of national interest.
PML-F and PML-Q to join Sindh cabinet

Respective party chiefs have given their approval.
