Khetran says merit was followed in hiring of staff for education dept
QUETTA:
Provincial minister Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran has said that the opposition continued to charge Balochistan government with false allegations and maintained that the government would not compromise on merit.
“The provincial government has started recruitment on 26,000 vacant posts. Meanwhile, merit order was fully followed for hiring in the education department but opposition is distracting people through false allegations of corruption against incumbent officials,” the minister said while speaking to journalists at his residence in Quetta.

“Chief Minister Inspection Team (CMIT) is functional and carrying out a probe against irregularities across the province. The opposition has nothing to do except defaming the Balochistan government,” he said.
Talking about Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s Azadi March, Khetran remarked that JUI-F had the democratic right to protest against federal government but sit-ins had not changed any regime in Pakistan.
“Fazal ur Rehman should address his reservations through talks because federal and provincial governments did not close doors of negotiations for anyone,” he stated.

Commenting on the National Accountability Bureau’s action, the minister said that the anti-graft buster was investigating the sitting ministers and opposition members because corruption had stalled development in the country.
Lauding Balochistan chief minister, Khetran observed that Jam Kamal Alyani’s vision had put the province on the path of progress.
“The government has commenced several development projects, which would bring revolutionary changes in provincial infrastructure,” he said.
