Joaquin Phoenix involved in car accident
'Joker' actor's car suffered severe damage but he is reportedly doing fine
Looks like the Joker is actually a good guy, at least in real life. This seems evident in the fact that when Joaquin Phoenix hit a fire department vehicle whilst driving recently, he actually tracked down the paramedics to confess his mistake, reported TMZ.
Law enforcement sources have claimed that the actor was making a right turn out of a parking lot in West Hollywood on Tuesday afternoon when his Tesla scraped the bumper of an unoccupied LA County Fire Department truck.
Joaquin reportedly parked his car and found the paramedics, who were on a call, and explained what happened: He had simply misjudged the road and didn't make a wide enough turn. The police were called, everyone exchanged insurance info and a damage report was also taken because LA County property was damaged.
Joker: Heath Ledger or Joaquin Phoenix as Gotham's clown prince of crime?
Eye-witnesses claim Joaquin's Tesla got the worst of the accident, with damage to the right front quarter panel. The paramedics' truck only had a minor scratch on the bumper.
According to the police, Joaquin was cordial and easy to deal with, and ultimately, was not given a ticket.
