QUETTA:
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has moved the Balochistan High Court (BHC) against the recent acquittal of the Lasbela Industrial State Development Authority (LIEDA) former managing director in a land allotment case.

NAB prosecution wing on Thursday filed the appeal claiming that the accountability court drew a premature conclusion without examining evidence of the prosecution. In the appeal, NAB requested the court to set aside acquittal of the accused.

NAB had filed a reference against LIEDA former MD Shujaul Mulk, former GM Industry Abdul Hameed Sabir and XEN Mohammad Younus in the accountability court contending that the accused with the connivance of each other illegally allotted a government land by misusing their authority.

The BHC division bench – comprising Justice Naeem AKhtar Afghan and Justice Abdul Hameed – while accepting NAB’s appeal issued notices to the accused.
