Floriculture Trade: Lack of technology costing Pakistan
Pakistan with Netherlands, we have 20 times more area for cultivation, 9 to 10 times more manpower, better climate

Pakistan has a negligible share in worldwide floriculture trade despite having fertile land, best irrigation system and rich resources due to lack of modern production technology. Harvest Tradings CEO Ahmad Jawad, in a press statement on Monday, said, “if we compare the resources of Pakistan with the Netherlands, we have 20 times more area for cultivation, 9 to 10 times more manpower and better climate, soil and irrigation system.” Our industry can flourish if the government encourages investments, sets up centres for technical assistance and helps in marketing the products maintaining high standards through Pakistan Horticulture Development and Export Company,” Jawad said.
