Deprived of Property: Family attempts suicide at court

A suicide attempt by a man and his three children in Vehari district courts on Monday was foiled by lawyers. Ghulam Rabbani, a resident of Majid Colony in Burewala, said his brothers had taken over all of the family property after the death of their father. He said his brothers allegedly tortured him and threatened him to leave the village. He said he was left with no choice but to commit suicide along with his three daughters, because neither the police, not courts were helping him. Saddar DSP Rao Naeem Shahid, Vehari Bar Association President Khusar Hayat Tarar and other lawyers assured him of justice.
