Witnesses summoned in protest case in Karachi
Karachi Mayor Wasim Akhtar, Khwaja Izhar, Mehfooz Yar Khan, Ishaq and others are implicated in the case

A local court recorded the statement of a witness on Monday in the case filed against the protest outside the CM House demanding action against the suspension of water supply. The court summoned more witnesses at the next hearing. The statement of a prosecution witness, police official Amir, was recorded on Monday. Karachi Mayor Wasim Akhtar, Khwaja Izhar, Mehfooz Yar Khan, Ishaq and others are implicated in the case. The statements of two witnesses have been recorded so far. The case was registered at Civil Lines Police Station in 2016 under the charges of violation of Loud Speaker Act and Section 144 in the Red Zone.
