Sukkur NAB begins investigation against PPP lawmaker
He is accused of acquiring 2,030 acres of agriculture land by tampering with revenue records

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Sukkur has started an investigation against Pakistan Peoples Party MNA Sardar Muhammad Bux Khan Mahar, who is accused of acquiring 2,030 acres of agriculture land by tampering with revenue records. NAB has also directed the Ghotki deputy commissioner to submit the land records to it.
According to NAB, the deputy commissioner has delayed the production of the records.
Meanwhile, NAB Sukkur has also issued call-up notices to 22 mukhtiarkars of revenue talukas in Larkana division, directing them to appear before the NAB and present land records on October 22.
The notices have been issued to the mukhtiarkars of Qambar Shahdadkot, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Kandhkot, Kashmore, Dokri, Bakrani, Larkana, Rato Dero, Warah, Miro Khan, Nasirabad, Qubo Saeed Khan, Sajawal, Garhi Yasin, Khanpur, Lakhi Ghulam Shah, Garhi Khairo, Thul and Tangwani.
NAB Sukkur had received a number of complaints that revenue officials have been taking bribes for the illegal allotment of government land.
