QUETTA: Provincial Minister for Public Health and Engineering and leader of Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) Noor Muhammad Dummar has said that some elements are trying to sabotage peace in the province.

“We are not yet fully aware of our enemies and we must put our differences aside and unite against all such elements to defeat their motives,” Dummar said while attending a football tournament’s final.

Chairman Citizen Action Committee Loralai Muhammad Ikhlas Hamzazai, Assistant Commissioner Bouri Jumma Dad Mandokhail, tribal leaders Malik Raheem Utmankhail, Haji Wali Kakar, Sardar Hiyat Hamzazai and Ahmad Ullah Durrani were also present during the concluding ceremony of the tournament.

The minister said that by establishing sports grounds numerous health issues can be overcome including the growing drug addiction. He urged the youth to participate more in sports activities on a daily basis.

“Athletes are our ambassadors; they can play an important role in restoring peace and harmony among the people,” Dummar said.

He added that the provincial government is aware of the issues of the players and is taking key measures to resolve them.

“Balochistan government is constructing sports stadiums with a massive amount of funds”, Dummar said.

The minister also distributed prizes among the players and announced rewards for the organising committee members, players and referees.

The minister earlier claimed that Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) would emerge as a leading political party in the upcoming Local Government elections.

“We established BAP not for our political gains but for Balochistan’s development… the party has been emerging as a major political force of the province,” the PHE minister said while addressing a gathering in Harnai district last week.

The minister, who is also BAP’s central leader, was accompanied by former district chairman Malik Nazar Muhammad Tareen. Dozens of party workers were also present on the occasion.

Dummar said: “Since we formed government in Balochistan, Chief Minister Jam Kamal and party’s ministers have been taking measures to uplift the province.”

Talking about Kashmir, the provincial minister lauded the efforts of the Prime Minister in apprising the world community about the miseries of Kashmiris. He said Imran has exposed the brutal face of India in front of the world and he played key role as ambassador of Kashmir.

While talking to APP, he said because of the efficient diplomacy of the federal government, the Kashmir issue was effectively highlighted worldwide.

The provincial minister said people have been facing curfew in occupied Kashmir for two months. "Kashmiris are burying their martyrs in the national flag and chanting Pakistan Zindabaad," he added.
