RDA seals offices of five housing schemes

RDA advises the citizens to stop making investments in illegal housing schemes

RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) conducted an operation against illegal housing societies on Thursday.

Metropolitan and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate RDA sealed offices of five housing schemes including Abdullah City, Magma City, Al-Makkah City, Regent Farmhouses and Islamabad Farmhouses and issued notices under Punjab Private Housing Schemes and Land Sub-division Rules 2010. The deputy director planning, superintendent schemes and scheme inspectors carried out the operation with assistance of jurisdiction police.

In this regard, the spokesperson RDA Hafiz Muhammad Usman said that the director general (DG) RDA issued directions to MP&TE to continue their operation against law violators and disregard any kind of pressure. RDA has advised the citizens to stop making investments in illegal housing schemes.
