CTD officials torture citizen
Sindh IG has sought details pertaining to all departmental and illegal actions on the issue from the CTD DG
KARACHI:
Officials from the Garden Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) tortured a citizen and ripped off his clothes in public view on a road in Umar Colony, located in the jurisdiction of Baloch Colony Police Station, on Thursday. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media in which CTD officials can be seen grabbing the citizen by his collar. It is alleged that the CTD officials later took the citizen with them and set him free after two hours. It is also reported that the citizen was tortured over a personal dispute and one of the officials appearing in the video has been identified as Haroon Dad. Sindh IG has sought details pertaining to all departmental and illegal actions on the issue from the CTD director-general.
