Bilawal, Shehbaz discuss current political situation
The two leaders also discussed production orders for the arrested MNAs
Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday.
The two opposition leaders discussed the current political climate in the country as well as the production orders for the arrested members of the lower house.
Bilawal and Shehbaz also dwelled on the ‘Azadi March’ call by Jamaat-e-Ulema-e-Islami chief Fazlur Rehman. Sources told Express that the PPP and PML-N top leadership remains unconvinced on the timing of the march against the Imran Khan-led government.
Where Shehbaz managed to gain affirmation by senior PML-N leaders to avoid the sit-in, the PPP leadership has been against the idea of a long march at the moment.
Meanwhile, the NA session is underway with Prime Minister Imran Khan’s United States trip in focus.
Bilawal was accompanied by Raja Pervez Ashraf, Yousaf Raza Gillani, Naveed Qamar, Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar and Nayyar Bukhari. The PML-N delegation included Raja Zafarul Haq, Murtaza Javed Abbasi, Ameer Muqam and Marriyum Aurangzeb.
