Facilitating Businessmen: Pakistan, Germany to work together
Sum of €109 million committed by the German government

Pakistan and Germany agreed on Monday to work closely for facilitating the business community by enhancing transfer of technology, establishment of joint ventures and exchange of trade delegations.
The agreement was reached during a meeting between German Ambassador to Pakistan Bernhard Stephan Schlagheck and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Muhammad Hammad Azhar.
According to a press statement, the ambassador emphasised the need for closer contacts between the German embassy and the Economic Affairs Division for sustainable economic development in Pakistan through technical and vocational training and increase in trade and market access. The minister thanked the German government for the grant assistance promised for the betterment of Pakistanis and congratulated Schlagheck on successfully concluding government-to-government negotiations between the two sides.
A sum of €109 million was committed by the German government for various projects in priority sectors including energy, governance and sustainable economic development.
