Cadel Evans’ BMC team have hinted the Australian could be ready to go on the offensive when the Tour de France heads into the Pyrenees next week. But after the race’s eighth stage they left many wondering about tactics which failed to net them a stage win. “We didn’t lose any time to the main contenders and that is what is really important at this point,” said Evans. “I didn’t get the jersey but for us it’s not a problem. As I keep saying, there’s a long way to go to Paris.”
