TDAP plans ten exhibitions in Africa

KARACHI:
The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) has planned to organise 10 exhibitions in Africa during the current year which shows Pakistan’s increasing interest in African markets, said the Chief Executive of TDAP, Syed Mohibullah Shah.

A meeting was held at the TDAP head office on Thursday where Mourad Bourehla, Ambassador of Tunisia, Mohammad Omer Musa, Ambassador of Sudan and Sammuel K Chemisto, Commercial Attache of Kenya met Shah and discussed issues related to enhancement of trade and economic relations.

Tunisian ambassador said that trade between the two sides was way below the potential and did not reflect the cordial political relations between them.

Sudanese ambassador identified some sectors like textile, agro food, surgical instruments and mining which have the potential for collaboration.

Shah told the ambassadors that the TDAP had already prepared an Africa plan, which has prioritised markets for a rapid increase in local exports.
