Party targeted for launching march against govt: Wassay
Says a conspiracy has begun to spoil law and order by targeting Pashtoon leadership
QUETTA:
Member National Assembly and Provincial Ameer JUI-F Maulana Abdul Wassay has said that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam is being targeted because it has launched movement against the Federal Government. He demanded immediate arrest of the people involved in the blast on Molvi Muhamamd Hanif.
JUI-F leader Muhammad Hanif, two others martyred in Chaman blast
Addressing Jamiat workers during the funeral of Molvi Muhammad Hanif at Pak-Afghan bordering town of Chaman on Sunday, Maulana Wassay paid homage to the deceased over embracing martyrdom, adding that JUI-F would continue giving sacrifices for Islam.
“Pashtoon leadership was kept out of the parliament during the 2018 elections and now a conspiracy has begun to spoil law and order by targeting our leaders,” Wassay said, adding that JUI F’s peaceful protest would continue until the arrest of terrorists involved in killing of the party’s deputy secretary-general.
Province-wide strike as JUI-F leader laid to rest
He criticised the Federal Government for causing hurdles to foil JUI-F and opposition’s long march against the current status quo.
“Ever since we have announced the long march, central government has become active in conspiring against us,” he said. “Despite all odds and threats we would march towards Islamabad in October.”
