Court accepts Fatima Sohail's request for 'khula' from Mohsin Abbas Haider
Lahore Family Court issues decree for permanent separation
LAHORE:
Model Fatima Sohail and her now estranged husband, actor Mohsin Abbas Haider, have officially parted ways after the Lahore Family Court accepted Fatima's request for a khula (divorce) and issued a decree.
The court summoned both parties within their personal capacities for reconciliation. Sohail and Haider — along with their lawyers — appeared in court before Judge Babar Nadeem, where Sohail stated that it was no longer possible for her to remain with her husband due to irreconcilable differences.
She also shared that she will raise her child on her own. "I love my child dearly and I will raise him myself without any assistance," mentioned Sohail.
The Baaji actor claimed that he also did not wish to continue the marriage, adding that he has no reservations for her. "I also do not wish to remain with Fatima Sohail and the court should issue a decree since both parties are no longer interested," he stated.
After taking their statements into consideration and following a long trail of allegations from both Sohail and Haider, where the prior is an alleged victim of domestic violence, the court has finally issued a decree and granted them permanent separation.
