Railway workers call off strike
Union leaders assured of a quick resolution of issues, demands regarded as genuine by the railway administration
QUETTA:
Workers and leaders of Railway Union in Quetta held a meeting with a three-member delegation of the railway authorities. After assurances by the railway administration, the union leaders have temporarily called off the strike scheduled. They demanded immediate resolution of their issues and warned to recall their strike if the divisional superintendent of railways fails to meet the promise.
Two train services scrapped
According to union leaders Ata Muhammad Afzal Bangalzai, Lal Jan Baloch and Sher Muhammad Baloch, a three-member delegation of the railway department held talks regarding the issues faced by railways workers in Quetta. The demands were regarded as genuine by the railway administration following which the union leaders were assured of quick resolution of their issues.
