The mayor of Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (HMC) Syed Tayyab Hussain resumed his charge after more than eight months of absence. The mayor went on leave on January 10 and received multiple extensions in leave until Sindh local government department refused to extend his leave further. In Hussain’s absence, the deputy mayor Syed Suhail Mehmood Mashadi held the acting charge.
