Congratulates Waseem for his recent victory over Filipino opponent
QUETTA:
Balochistan government to honour Pakistani boxer Muhammad Waseem and give him an official protocol upon his return from Islamabad, said provincial government spokesman Liaquat Shahwani on Friday.
In a statement, he said Balochistan chief minister and the provincial cabinet congratulates Waseem for his recent victory over Filipino opponent.
“Balochistan government representatives and provincial ministers would welcome him [Waseem] at Quetta International Airport because the son of our soil has earned a good name for Pakistan and the province at global level,” said Shahwani.
He added: “An official ceremony would be held at the Chief Minister Secretariat in the honour of boxer.” On coming back to Pakistan, he (Waseem) didn’t receive a hero’s welcome at the airport.
