The first look of Umera Ahmed's much-awaited upcoming drama Alif is finally here!

The makers have released two teasers of the show on Thursday and looks like we have a blockbuster coming up. Alif, helmed by Parwaaz Hai Junoon director Haseeb Hasan, stars Hamza Ali Abbasi as a hotshot film-maker, Qalb-e-Momin and Sajal Aly as a rising star named Momina Sultan.

The two butt heads when Aly comes in to audition for Abbasi's film and is called off by the director for being too 'pious'. But she doesn't succumb to the pressure. She holds her own in the teaser and gives the director a piece of her mind by not agreeing to his conditions.

The two later seems to come achieved some sort of understanding since it looks like they eventually fall for each other.

Alif also aims to capture one's quest (we're guessing it's Abbasi) to find God and understand Him. For what its worth, the duo seem to be nailing their respective characters.

The Mann Mayal actor also said that Qalb-e-Momin's journey is eerily similar to his own.

Taking to Twitter, Abbasi shared, "Thankful to Allah for the amazing feedback on Alif teasers. This project will set an example of how to use the medium of television to make people reflect on there lives and get back in touch with their Creator."

Talking about his character, he added, "Qalb-E-Momin, in a lot of ways, reflects my own personal ongoing journey."

Alif also stars Ahsan Khan, Kubra Khan, Osman Khalid Butt, Yashma Gill, Manzar Sehbai, Saleem Mairaj and others.
