RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi police have started an inquiry against DSP city and his team who were accused of making a false case of illegal weapon possession against a local journalist. Pirwadhai police conducted a search operation under the supervision of Supervisory Circle Officer (SCO) DSP City Faisal Saleem earlier. While inspecting one of the houses, the police opened a locked dresser and took out a licensed gun from it and placed it in hands of a journalist named Owais, who was living in the same house. The police had claimed that they recovered the weapon from the suspect while he was standing on the street outside his house with it. According to the sources, CPO Faisal Rana had taken notice and ordered SP Rawal Muhammad Asif to send a detailed inquiry report against SP City Faisal Saleem and a related police team.
