Jam Kamal says provincial government is keenly reviewing land issues of the revenue department
QUETTA:
Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Aliyani on Thursday chaired a meeting to review affairs of the provincial revenue department. He assured that the provincial government is keenly reviewing land issues of the revenue department.
Provincial Revenue Minister Saleem Khosa, Chief Secretary Balochistan Capt (retd) Fazeel Asghar and senior member Board of Revenue Qamar Masood were also present in the meeting while commissioner Makran Division participated in the discussion through video link.
“Balochistan has a sprawling landmass thus land officers should be equipped with technical knowledge to handle land affairs and gather details of the government land,” Chief Minister Jam Kamal said. “District officers, assistant commissioners, deputy commissioners and commissioners can address provincial land issues by utilising their expertise and earnest efforts.”
He further said that the provincial government has been working on a mechanism to ensure transparent inspection over Tehseel record which would be helpful in addressing public land issues on priority level.
The CM stressed upon amendments in the provincial Land Revenue Act in order to thoroughly review legal obstacles in handling provincial revenue affairs.
CM urges boost in investment
Earlier, addressing a meeting on trade and investment, Chief Minister Jam Kamal said that four sectors in Balochistan have the capacity to boost the provincial economy.
“National and foreign businessmen and companies can invest in Balochistan’s sea salt, coastal strip, minerals and renewable energy sectors.”
Jam Kamal said that sprawling landmass of Balochistan was suitable for agriculture and livestock hence provincial economic opportunities should be highlighted.
