Looks life Marvel fans are in for another shock.

Has Ant-Man 3 been lost to the Quantum Realm forever? A source allegedly close to Marvel Studios is reporting that a three-quel for the tiny Avenger isn't going to happen and that Scott Lang/Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne/The Wasp (Evangeline Lilly) may see their further adventures relegated to the upcoming Disney+ streaming service.

The rumor comes courtesy of We Got This Covered, which states Paul Rudd's superhero might not be seen in a theatre near you. Instead, he would be standing on your palm. The word on the street suggests Marvel Studios isn't working on a third Ant-Man movie. According to the sources, it will be developing a Disney Plus show on the superhero instead.

The report suggests that the TV series will be high budgeted and feature Michael Pena's Luis. The report also states that the Ant-Man 3 couldn't be happening because Kevin Feige also "wants to pursue new genres with Shang-Chi and Blade" while exploring Fox IPs.

Another reason, that plays in the favour of Ant-Man, could be that the series would give the superhero a bigger scale to spread its wings. Instead of packing it all in within two hours, Ant-Man would have a longer duration to explore storylines on Disney Plus.

Having said that, there has been no announcement from Marvel Studios so we would suggest you treat the information as a mere rumour.
