Plastic bags banned in colleges 

College staff, students, and even visitors will not be allowed to use plastic bags inside the premises of colleges

KARACHI: The Sindh Education and Literacy Department has issued a notification, banning the use of plastic bags in government and private colleges operating under the provincial government. As per the notification, college staff, including those working in canteens and cafeterias, students, and even visitors will not be allowed to use plastic bags inside the premises of colleges. Colleges director-general, colleges regional director, Directorate of Registration of Private Colleges, monitoring and evaluation director and principals and administration of colleges have been given the responsibility to ensure that the institutions comply with the education department’s orders. They have also been asked to report any violations of the department’s orders.
