Pakistan is the most reliable friend of China, says Chinese Ambassador

With the landmark China- Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) entering its fifth year, the ties between the two countries are entering a new phase of economic friendship.
This was stated by Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing on Wednesday as he inaugurated a Pakistan-China joint art exhibition at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML). The painting and calligraphy exhibition was held to celebrate the 70th anniversary of China’s independence and the fifth anniversary of the CPEC project.
Jing stated that the excellent Sino-Pakistan diplomatic friendly ties are entering a new phase.
“Pakistan is the most reliable friend of China and both countries will work together for regional peace and stability,” he stated, adding that the Chinese government is offering scholarships for Pakistani students to study in China.
Past five years of CPEC in review
NUML, he said, is playing a pivotal role in promoting Chinese language and culture.
Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed said that NUML and Pak-China relations are deeply connected. NUML, which was initially NIML, has been teaching the Chinese language for decades.
So far, he said that some 70,000 jobs have been created through CPEC projects, the Gwadar port and Thar coal projects.
