KARACHI:
Hamdard Laboratories Waqf Pakistan held an award and certificate distribution ceremony on Tuesday at the launch of the SAP S4 HANA - a computerised Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software - at its laboratories. The event was held at a local hotel on the occasion of the centenary celebration of Hamdard founder, Shaheed Hakim Muhammad Said.

Hamdard Pakistan decided to apply SAP technology due to its innovative possibilities and the opportunities that the system offers and to align business processes with the industry standards.

Speaking on the occasion, Hamdard Pakistan Chairperson Sadia Rashid said that Hamdard, a global house of herbal medicines, has served for over a century. She said that SAP and Hamdard were both improving peoples lives and the latter's field of operation was healthcare, education and philanthropy.

"We have completed this project within a short period of eight and a half months," said Hamdard Information Technology Director.

Irfan Sheikh, the managing director of Wemyt - Hamdard's partner in the project - said that AF Ferguson and Company, Wemyt and Hamdard had worked together to bring this project to completion.

After the cake cutting ceremony, Rashid, former managing director Dr Navaidul Zafar and CEO Fatema Munir presented awards and certificates to the entire SAP project team.
