Balochistan CS says district has many potential tourist locations

He says the focus is to enhance the development of the province

Balochistan Chief Secretary Fazeel Asghar on Monday said the provincial government is making comprehensive plans to promote tourism in the Jhalawan area of Khuzdar.

“We want to develop this sector by making Balochistan a centre of tourism, so that people from all over the country may come to the province to enjoy its natural resorts including lakes, cascades and beautiful mountains,” Asghar said during a briefing about tourist areas in Khuzdar.

Govt to promote tourism


According to a press statement, he said other places in Khuzdar including Mulla Chatok, Chharo, Warwam, Pati Ajhal are quite attractive and could be turned into tourist resorts. Earlier, Khuzdar Deputy Commissioner Ilyas Kabazia briefed the chief secretary and said Khuzdar has a number of potential tourist places. The chief secretary said tourist places would be focused on to enhance the development of the province.

He said these tourist areas will make Balochistan attractive, adding that efforts would be made to develop these areas.

“Special arrangements could be ensured at the tourist locations so that people from other areas would enjoy the beauty of these places and spread a positive message about Balochistan,” he added.
