QUETTA:
Jamaat-e-Islami chief senator Siraj-ul -haq has slammed the federal government on Kashmir issue saying that the people of IOK have been under siege for the past 42 days but the PTI government has done nothing globally except rallies and shows.

He shared these views on Sunday while addressing Kashmir/Balochistan rally in Quetta.

Hundreds of Jamaat - e-Islami workers participated in the rally from different parts of the province which commenced from Hockey Ground and turned into public gathering at Manan Chowk.

“People of Kashmir have been disconnected from the world for the last 42 days. They are forced to bury their loved ones inside their homes,” Siraj-ul-Haq said. “People are facing starvation due to Indian lockdown in the valley but our government didn’t show serious attitude towards their issue.”

JI leader vowed to fight for the Kashmir cause till the last drop of his blood.

“Those betraying trust of the suppressed Kashmiri people wouldn’t be spared at any cost. Kashmir remains an integral part of Pakistan,” he affirmed.

Siraj-ul -Haq criticised the prime minister and 57 Islamic countries over sitting silent against Indian brutalities in occupied Kashmir. He added that Muslims have had a history of fighting against oppressors but today ummah couldn’t even condemn the atrocities being committed in Kashmir.

“Prime Minister Imran Khan in Muzaffarabad pledged to go till end for the Kashmiri people but we want to ask his limitations, what is stopping him from crossing the LoC?” Siraj-ul-Haq said. “Indian government is attempting to halt Pakistani water to turn the country into a desert.”

Pakistani nation is tired of listening to just speeches by the current government than seeing any actions, he added.

Siraj-ul-Haq further said that instead of leading Kashmir cause alone, PTI government should have asked support from all the political parties. The government was reluctant to call all the parties in rallies over Kashmir issue, he mentioned.

Talking about issues in Balochistan, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer reiterated that his party has always raised Balochistan’s cause in the parliament, senate and other provincial platforms. However, central and provincial regimes have betrayed trust of the deprived people of Balochistan, he asserted.

“People of this mineral rich province have been deprived from basic educational, health and infrastructure facilities.”

Siraj lamented over corrupt practices in the province.

“According to Transparency International report Balochistan was the most corrupt province of Pakistan where public money was looted with full impunity. No one was ever held accountable,” he said.

Talking about growing inflation in the country, Jamaat-e-Islami chief said that flawed economic policies of current government have destroyed economic growth with national debts reaching all-time high.

“Poor masses are unable to feed their children as inflation is growing rapidly,” he added.

Provincial Ameer JI Maulana Abdul Haq Hashmi, Senior leader Zahid Akhtar, District Quetta Ameer Hafiz Noor Ali and other leadership of the party also addressed the rally.
