Punjab govt to introduce early childhood classrooms
Education ministry will recruit separate teachers for nursery classes
RAWALPINDI:
In order to create a suitable and conducive learning environment leading to the development of children, the Punjab government has announced to launch early childhood classrooms for junior classes.
All 53,000 schools across the province will establish separate classrooms for children in playgroups, prep and nursery levels while educational officers in all 36 districts have been issued directions to ascertain establishment of these classrooms in every school.
Under the programme, classes will be decorated with colourful buntings, play spaces while their charts comprising information regarding animals, geography and other information will be pasted on their doors and windows.
The education ministry has decided to recruit separate teachers for these classrooms and the move is expected to increase admissions in public schools.
