LAHORE:
The anti-dengue campaign should be carried out more effectively and all officers of the health and administrative departments should ensure complete implementation of the standard operating procedures (SOP), said Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar.

The CM, while issuing orders for monitoring anti-dengue teams, said that the plan chalked out to control dengue in Rawalpindi, Lahore and other cities should be implemented completely. He commented that the disease will be eliminated by taking practical measures in the field rather than sitting in offices. He added that practical measures are necessary for dengue control instead of merely doing paperwork.

He warned that there will be no leniency in this regard. “The commissioners and deputy commissioners should personally lead the anti-dengue campaigns.”

The CM directed for paying special attention to indoor and outdoor surveillance in sensitive areas besides providing the best treatment facilities to dengue patients.
