RCB hires doctors, deputy administrator for CGH
Hospital to get gynaecology OT, new lab, surgery management system and OPD
RAWALPINDI:
Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) in its board meeting approved recruitment as per new service structure in its Cantonment General Hospital (CGH).
RCB has hired Col (retd) Sadaqat Ali Khan as deputy administrator of the hospital. The board has also hired Dental Surgeon Dr Saira, Pathologist Dr Jawad Hassan, Medical Officers Dr Bahria Awan, Dr Saeed Rasheed and Teacher Masma Yasmin Khan on ad-hoc basis in Cantonment General Hospital.
The recruitments are being made under new service structure after abolishment of old structure. Under the same structure, the administration of hospital is being run by a retired army official instead of a medical superintendent (MS).
Upgrading CGH
RCB has decided to upgrade CGH. A modular gynecology operation theater, a new laboratory building, surgery management system and a unique system MOT in Outpatient department (OPD) will be built with cost of Rs10 million.
The construction of operation theatre would provide latest and better healthcare facilities to patients whereas surgery management system is expected bring an end to long-waiting in surgery lists.
The new laboratory would be equipped with modern testing facilities whereas unique management system would enforce turn-wise checkup of OPD patients.
