Two women commit suicide in Faisalabad
They consumed poisonous due to domestic quarrel
FAISALABAD:
Two women committed suicides in separate incidents on Wednesday. A police spokesman said 36-year-old Samina consumed poison after quarreling with her in-laws over a domestic dispute.
She was shifted to the Allied Hospital where she died.
Meanwhile, 50-year-old Saadia Bibi of Chak No.83-JB swallowed poisonous pills over domestic problems. She was shifted to Allied Hospital where she died.
In a separate incident, a boy drowned in a canal in the area of Thikriwala police station on Wednesday. The police said 13-year-old Zubair Ashraf of Chak No.80-JB was taking bath in Jhang Branch Canal where he slipped and drowned. His body was fished out and handed over to the family.
On Wednesday, a pedestrian was killed in an accident in Gulberg police limits on Wednesday. A police spokesman said 56-year-old Umar Farooq was crossing the road when a speeding van hit and killed him.
